Atlas Of Science Literacy, Part 2
Congratulations to the folks at Project 2061 for announcing that the second part of the Atlas Of Science Literacy will be available soon. The first version is a great resource for curriculum developers, one that I've used it both with my staff for curriculum selection and with NBPTS candidates looking at scope and sequences over time.
Particularly given the increasing interest in "learning progressions" in K-12 science, I expect this document to receive lots of attention. If it's anything like it's predecessor, the attention is well deserved.

HI
MY NAME IS RICHARD: I HAVE THREE KIDS: BEN, MARK AND JENNIFER. BEN IS 3; MARK IS 5 AND JENNIFER IS 8. THEY ATTEND PUBLIC SCHOOL AND BEN IS IN DAYCARE ALL DAY. I HAVE JUST DISCOVERED THE ZULA PATROL ON OUR LOCAL PBS CHANNEL. NOW MY KIDS ALL WANT TO BE ASTRONAUTS! MARK’S FAVORITE CHARACTER IS GORGA, THE PET WHO WAS RESCUED BY BULA. BUT JENNIFER’S FAVORITE IS ZEETER, THE GIRL NAVIGATOR. I THINK SHE LIKES THE TAKE-CHARGE ATTITUDE. AND BEN JUST LOVES THE SHOW, EVEN THO’ HE’S ONLY 3! IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THIS, TAKE A LOOK. THEY TEACH SCIENCE, ASTRONOMY AND TEAMWORK. AND, THEY HAVE A GREAT WEBSITE! ZULA.COM.
